Cardinals Hall of Fame Museum

This month in Cardinals history

Cy Young, the greatest pitcher in the history of the game, was born on the 29th of this month in 1867. While most fans know that we have two pitchers (Bob Gibson and Chris Carpenter) who have won the top pitching award named after the all-time winningest pitcher, many may not know that Young played for the franchise in 1899 and 1900.

Interesting Fact

The Cardinals maintain a vast museum collection of over 16,000 artifacts, but there's one that stands above the restÂ… literally. The collection includes one wax figure of "The Man," Stan Musial. This figure was originally on display at Madame Tussauds' museum in Florida before it was acquired by Musial and subsequently donated to the Cardinals Hall of Fame Museum.
