After collecting just three hits the night before, the Reds banged out 13 hits, none bigger than Scott Hatteberg's two-run double in the eighth inning that gave Cincinnati the lead for good. The offensive explosion came at a perfect time after the bullpen gave up the lead in the eighth inning, spoiling a solid outing by starter Aaron Harang.
