Chapman to make final rehab outing Tuesday
CINCINNATI -- Reds left-hander Aroldis Chapman, who has been on a rehab assignment at Double-A Carolina, was in the clubhouse on Monday afternoon. Chapman did some running in the outfield and had a throwing session with pitching coach Bryan Price.Chapman is scheduled to have a final rehab outing on Tuesday at Triple-A Louisville. It is the final day of his 30-day assignment. A roster move will have to come on Wednesday. "Hopefully, he'll have another good outing and we can make a positive decision," Reds manager Dusty Baker said. Chapman, who last pitched for Carolina on Saturday, hurled two perfect innings, racking up three strikeouts in his best outing. He threw 21 pitches, 14 for strikes.

In five appearances with Carolina, Chapman has a 6.14 ERA, giving up five runs, five hits and six walks while fanning 11 over 7 1/3 innings. He has been on the disabled list since May 16 because of left shoulder inflammation, but has been deemed physically healthy for a few weeks now. The past several games have been needed to improve his command.
Reds pitcher Homer Bailey, who has been on the disabled list since May 28 with a right shoulder strain, will start for Triple-A Louisville against Pawtucket on Tuesday in his third rehab assignment game. ... In a presentation before the game, right fielder Jay Bruce received his National League Player of the Month Award for May.
