"I really felt like this is probably where I would end my career, and I really wanted to," Weathers said of Cincinnati. "But in this game, things don't go like you want them or how you plan them."It's a good day but, to be honest with you, it's a tough day emotionally because you form a lot of bonds, a lot of trust with guys you've been with for five or six years. You just don't find that every day, especially in this game." Jocketty said he will pick the player to be named later from a small pool of available Minor Leaguers. If a decision can't be reached by Oct. 15, cash considerations will be sent from Milwaukee. With the Reds 15 games below .500 entering play Sunday, Jocketty added that he wanted to see younger players get a look the rest of the season. Weathers' departure clears a roster (and bullpen) spot for 28-year-old Jared Burton, who will finalize his injury rehabilitation with Triple-A Louisville on Sunday and likely rejoin the Reds on Monday for the start of their three-game set opposing the St. Louis Cardinals. Asked if his team could make other moves before Aug. 31, when trades must be completed to have players eligible for postseason play, Jocketty quipped, "Not today."
