SAN FRANCISCO -- The Reds' Ken Griffey Jr. got his first day off of the season Sunday after appearing in all of Cincinnati's 25 previous games. Manager Dusty Baker said he felt Griffey, who entered Sunday three homers shy of No. 600, was due for a break. "I think Griff needs it physically," Baker said. "He's been playing a lot and I can see him committing kind of early on the swing." Baker also kept Adam Dunn out of the starting lineup. Dunn was hitless in his last 10 at-bats and was batting .192 on the season. Baker said he thought Dunn, who has appeared in 24 games, would benefit from a day off. "He just needs a little mental break," Baker said.
