2003 exhibition tickets go on sale Jan. 20

CINCINNATI -- Tickets for Cincinnati Reds 2003 exhibition games in Sarasota, FL will go on sale January 20 at the club's spring training complex and on-line at Tickets for the exhibition games with the Cleveland Indians on March 28 and March 29 at Cincinnati's new Great American Ball Park will go on sale at a date to be determined.

Holiday gift certificates can be purchased now at the Ed Smith Stadium administration building in right field and by calling (941) 954-4464.

The Reds will play home games in Ed Smith Stadium during their sixth season in Sarasota. Beginning January 20, single-game tickets will be sold at the third-base ticket window on the east side of Ed Smith Stadium.

Also beginning January 20, tickets can be purchased by phone through at (800) 955-5566. Mail orders, including $7 per order for postage and handling, should be sent to 1090 N. Euclid Ave., Sarasota, FL, 34237. Tickets also can be purchased in person at Ed Smith Stadium, located at 12th Street and Tuttle Avenue, in Sarasota. Ticket prices for Reds spring training games in 2003 are $14 for box seats, $12 for reserved seats and $5 for general admission. The Reds' 34-game Major League exhibition schedule opens February 27 and includes 16 games at Sarasota's Ed Smith Stadium, plus the 2 games against the Indians at Great American Ball Park.

Pitchers and catchers will report to the City of Sarasota Sports Complex on February 13, followed the next morning by their first workout. Position players will report on February 18. The first full-squad workout under third-year manager Bob Boone is scheduled for the morning of February 19.
