    The Chicago Cubs today recalled right-handed pitcher Blake Parker from Triple-A Iowa and optioned right-handed pitcher Neil Ramirez to Triple-A.

  • Cubs recall left-hander Tsuyoshi Wada, option infielder Mike Olt to Triple-A

    The Chicago Cubs today recalled left-handed pitcher Tsuyoshi Wada from Triple-A Iowa. To make room for Wada on the roster, the club optioned infielder Mike Olt to Triple-A following last night's game.

  • Cubs activate Bonifacio and recall Hendricks

    The Chicago Cubs today activated infielder/outfielder Emilio Bonifacio from the 15-day disabled list and recalled right-handed pitcher Kyle Hendricks from Triple-A Iowa. Infielder Darwin Barney has been designated for assignment and left-handed pitcher Zac Rosscup was optioned to Triple-A.

    The Chicago Cubs will host another 10-game homestand as the Cubs face the San Diego Padres, St. Louis Cardinals and Colorado Rockies July 22-31. The team's throwback uniform, promotional giveaways, specialty food and beverage offerings and entertainment will mirror the sights and sounds of the 1970s at Wrigley Field as part of the season-long celebration of the ballpark's 100th birthday.

In corresponding moves, infielder Darwin Barney has been placed on the paternity leave list and left-handed pitcher Chris Rusin has been optioned to Iowa. Additionally, left-handed pitcher Tsuyoshi Wada, Chicago's 26th player in yesterday's doubleheader, was optioned back to Iowa following last night's game.
