    The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have extended catcher Kurt Suzuki through the 2016 season agreeing on a two-year contract. Suzuki will make $6-million in both 2015 and 2016. The deal also includes a $6-million vesting option for the 2017 season.

  • Twins Acquire Milone From Athletics

    The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have acquired left-handed pitcher Tommy Milone from the Oakland Athletics in exchange for outfielder Sam Fuld. Milone will report to Triple-A Rochester.

  • Twins to recall left-handed pitcher Logan Darnell

    The Minnesota Twins announced tonight that they will recall left-handed pitcher Logan Darnell from Triple-A Rochester prior to tomorrow's game vs. Chicago-AL. Darnell will be making his second stint with the Twins this season and first major league start of his career. He appeared in one game May 6 at Cleveland throwing 3.0 scoreless innings in relief with one strikeout. The 6-2, 210-pound lefthander has made 17 starts for Triple-A Rochester this season, posting a 5-5 record with a 3.43 ERA (94.1 IP, 36 ER).

    The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have returned infielder/outfielder Danny Santana from his rehab assignment at Single-A Ft. Myers and reinstated him from the disabled list. Santana missed 17 games after suffering a left knee bone bruise on June 25 at Los Angeles (AL). Santana played in three games on rehab assignment with the Miracle, he made two starts in center field and one at shortstop.
