Miller returns in deal for Hopper
Catcher to join Triple-A Louisville as Reds add depth
CLEVELAND -- The Reds announced Friday that they have traded outfielder Norris Hopper to the Chicago White Sox for catcher Corky Miller.
Miller, who played for Cincinnati from 2001-04, is hitting .205 in 14 games for the White Sox this season. Miller will report to Triple-A Louisville. "We needed not only help, but experience down there," manager Dusty Baker said. "Corky is used to be being down there and being the backup." Hopper had spent the entire season with the Bats. He was hitting .280 with no home runs and 20 RBIs for Louisville.
