Reds at the plate: Alex Gonzalez's RBI single scored Edwin Encarnacion with the Reds' first run in the second inning. Josh Hamilton went 2-for-3 with a single, double and RBI.

Marlins at the plate: Hanley Ramirez tripled to lead off the game and scored on Dan Uggla's sacrifice fly to put Florida ahead 1-0. Miguel Cabrera hit his third home run of the spring. The Marlins scored four times in the fifth inning off Dustin Hermanson with Alejandro De Aza's two-run single being the big blow.

Reds on the mound: Kyle Lohse started in place of Eric Milton, who was scratched because of lower back stiffness. Lohse pitched four innings allowing two runs on two hits, no walks and three strikeouts. Hermanson allowed four earned runs on four hits in one-third of an inning. Jon Coutlangus and Todd Coffey combined for a scoreless fifth. Travis Webb pitched a perfect ninth.

Marlins on the mound: Starter Sergio Mitre allowed just one run on three hits in five innings. He walked one and struck out six. Matt Lindstrom, Renyel Pinto, Kevin Gregg, Randy Messenger and Lee Gardner combined to allow just one run on six hits over the final four innings.

Up next: The Reds head home to Cincinnati to prepare for Monday's traditional home opener against the Chicago Cubs. The Reds will work out at Great American Ball Park on Sunday afternoon. The Marlins will work out on Sunday at RFK Stadium in Washington D.C., in preparation for their season opener Monday against the Nationals.
