D-backs extend Grace for three years
Broadcaster has been with team since 2004; option for 2010
PHOENIX -- The D-backs have signed broadcaster Mark Grace to a three-year contract extension with a team option for 2010.
Grace, who has been the D-backs' lead television analyst since 2004, will partner this year with Daron Sutton. Sutton was hired by the D-backs in November after the departure of longtime play-by-play man Thom Brennaman.
"Mark brings a certain excitement to the game that very few people can," D-backs team president Derrick Hall said. "With Daron Sutton now by his side, we have one of the most attractive duos in the game."
Grace will work 125 D-backs games in 2007 and a minimum of 20 dates on the FOX national baseball broadcasts.
The radio duo of Greg Schulte and Tom Candiotti will return in 2007. Schulte last week signed a four-year contract extension that runs through 2011.
