Twins' 'pen authors opening win
The Twins forgot about their regular-season struggles against the Yankees and started the ALDS off with a win over the Bronx Bombers on Tuesday afternoon at Yankee Stadium. Five Minnesota pitchers combined to hold the Yankees to one run, and Torii Hunter and Luis Rivas recorded RBIs in the Game 1 victory.  Full story >

The Yankees struggled to find any offense against Twins pitchers as they dropped Game 1 of the ALDS on Tuesday afternoon at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees were shut out until the bottom of the ninth when they pushed across a run and threatened to score more until Twins closer Eddie Guardado snuffed out the late rally.  Full story >
