This Day in Baseball History:
December 7, 1947 > Future Hall of Famer Johnny Bench is born in Oklahoma City. Bench will make his Major League debut in 1967 at the age of 19, and go on to become arguably the greatest all-around catcher the game has ever seen. In his 17 years with Cincinnati, Bench will collect two MVP Awards, 10 Gold Gloves and lead the Reds to two World Series titles.
