May 21, 1930 > New York Yankees slugger Babe Ruth slams three home runs in the first game of a doubleheader against the Philadelphia A's, then attempts to bat right-handed in the ninth inning. Although he switches back to lefty after Jack Quinn throws two quick strikes by him, the Bambino ends up striking out anyway.
