Event Security

Hourly Wage - $11.00

EVENT SECURITY JOB DUTIES:

SUPERVISORS:

  • Responsible for creating a culture that maximizes the performance of the team members
  • Be familiar with the aspects of Safeco Field security concerns with respect to the staff handbook
  • Be familiar with Event Security policies and procedures and make sure they are adhered to by Event Security team members
  • Take responsibility for Event Security's team member knowledge of their job and the responsibilities of the position
  • Know the procedures for beginning and ending of day of game shift
  • Provide positive feedback and reinforcement to the team members
  • Ensures the team members receive their breaks
  • Report and document any incidents which may occur in ones own area
  • Ensure the needs of the fans are met
  • Must be Alcohol MAST certified
  • Must be TEAM Certified

FIELD CREW:

  • Maintain Field integrity
  • Monitor crowd to determine the possibility of any Field intrusion
  • Ensure that all guest accessing the Field are authorized
  • Follow Event Security procedures in securing any unauthorized guest who access the field
  • Provide Field security throughout the post-game or any extra activities
  • Must be Alcohol MAST certified
  • Must be TEAM Certified

ALCOHOL ENFORCEMENT/ ROVERS:

  • Know Safeco Field's policies relating to the Washington State Liquor Laws and Safeco Field's rules involving liquor sales
  • Maintain a presence throughout the ballpark to act as a deterrent for possible violators
  • Respond to any Code of Conduct incidents occurring from gate opening to gate closing
  • Enforce Safeco Field no smoking policy
  • Provide written reports of incidents
  • Assist with bag checks as needed
  • Ensure the needs and concerns of the guest are met within the parameters of Safeco Field Code of Conduct
  • Must be Alcohol MAST certified
  • Must be TEAM Certified

CREW:

  • Perform bag checks and explain the rules of Safeco Field to guests regarding prohibited items
  • Provide access control for Safeco Field
  • Direct ADA guests and guests with strollers to special assistance gates for entry
  • Monitor activity on Safeco Field property outside of gates
  • Enforce Safeco Field no smoking policy
  • Assist guests with any requests or questions they might have
  • Ensure no alcohol leaves the ballpark
  • Acknowledge departing guests with a fond farewell
  • Must be TEAM Certified
  • Job Positions entail pre-game, game, and post-game duties
  • Must be comfortable working with metal detection and scanning equipment

Developer

Job Title: Developer
Department: Information Services
Reports To: Director, Database/Application Development
Status: Full-Time, Benefit Eligible, Exempt

The Position:
The Seattle Mariners Baseball Club is currently recruiting to fill the position of Developer, reporting to the Director of Database/Applications Development. Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to creating and maintaining applications built on Microsoft technologies leveraging Visual Studio, Dynamics CRM and SQL Server. Candidate will be communicating with key personnel and application stakeholders, and working with the rest of the IT team to provide the highest level of service possible.

Premium Sales

Job Title: Premium Sales

Reports To: Manager, Premium Sales

The Position:
The Seattle Mariners Baseball Club is currently recruiting to fill the position of a Premium Sales representative reporting to the Manager, Premium Sales. Premium Sales representatives for the Seattle Mariners are responsible for the sale and renewal of all Premium inventory including Corporate Packages, single game suite rentals, premium club seating, and Charter Seat licenses.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sells high end suite and premium seating inventory through relationship building in the business community, managing renewal accounts, following up on inbound leads and prospecting cold calls.
  • Contact, schedule, and conduct in-person and phone presentations with appropriate decision makers within targeted accounts.
  • Effectively communicate Mariners value proposition and key benefits to prospects, matching Mariners solutions to customer needs.
  • Meet and exceed all weekly and annual sales, phone and appointment goals.
  • Involvement in game day activities including, but not limited to, visits to suites/seats, complaint resolution, and prospect entertaining.
  • Uphold an extraordinary level of customer service to Premium clients.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM regarding activities and sales.
  • Accurately track and provide regular reports for management detailing sales activities, pipeline status and pending deals.
  • Making actionable and insightful recommendations for new products and enhancements.
  • Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Four-year degree
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience working in sales, preferably in professional sports or entertainment.
  • Demonstrated previous sales success and proficiency with sales concepts. Must be highly motivated, competitive, organized, professional, and dedicated to sales excellence.
  • Proven exceptional customer service skills including demonstrated ability to take decisive action and quickly resolve customer issues, problem-solve, trouble shoot and answer questions. Customer advocate who goes above and beyond to create customer delight.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment with defined performance metrics. Ability to multi-task and prioritize work with minimal oversight. Proven experience driving for extraordinary results.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to articulate messages and information clearly and accurately. Excellent listening skills.
