Owls' Nest Park baseball field dedication scheduled for Saturday

After five years of planning and construction, the new baseball field at Owls' Nest Park will be dedicated on Saturday, June 12 at Noon.

This vital inner-city baseball field at a unique city park will be used by baseball and softball teams from the Evanston, O'Bryonville and East Walnut Hills communities.

Owls' Nest Park is located at 2000 Fairfax Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio, 45207.

The new field will become the home to many youth baseball organizations, including the Six Men Tigers from Evanston.

Representatives from the Cincinnati Park Board, City of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Reds are scheduled to attend, including:

  • Willie Carden, Director, Cincinnati Park Board and Parks Foundation
  • Roxanne Qualls, Vice Mayor, Cincinnati City Council
  • Anzora Adkins, President, Evanston Community Council
  • Bob Castellini, Reds CEO
  • Dusty Baker, Reds Manager
  • Joe Morgan, Reds Hall of Famer
  • Bryan Price, Reds Pitching Coach
  • Marty Brennaman, Reds Hall of Fame Broadcaster
  • Charley Frank, Director Reds Community Fund

After the dedication and ribbon cutting, members of the Six Men Tigers participate in a clinic on the infield lead by Bryan Price.

Refreshments from John Morrell, Skyline, UDF and Sue-Z Aley cupcakes will be provided.
