  • Signature Series: World Champion Experience

    Saturday, July 23, 2016 5:30PM-7PM

    Tom Browning and Todd Benzinger will host the next "Signature Series" event on Saturday, July 23rd at the Hall of Fame. The evening will begin with a Q&A with the wire-to-wire champs, followed by a priceless photo opportunity with the 1990 World Series trophy. Photo opportunity and presentation are free with museum admission or membership. The first autograph is free for members, $5 for non-members. Any additional autographs are $5 each for all attendees. Printed photos available for $10.

    To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Beatles historic performance at Crosley Field, the Reds Hall of Fame is pleased to welcome author and Beatles historian Scott "Belmo" Belmer for a presentation and book signing. The author of seven books on the Beatles and for fifteen years the editor and publisher of "Beatles Beatleg News," Mr. Belmer has been a guest on CNN and numerous radio and television talk shows over the course of his career documenting the incomparable "Fab Four." There was no rock music act in the Sixties bigger than The Beatles. Press coverage for their American tours were unprecedented for its time. In "The Beatles Invade Cincinnati," fans will relive The Beatles invasion of America as seen through the eyes of reporters, photographers, fans and many of those lucky few intimately involved in The Beatles' tour of America. The Beatles performed in Cincinnati in 1964 and 1966 and both momentous events are thoroughly covered in this book. Whether you attended one of the concerts in Cincinnati or are a fan of The Beatles, this book will enlighten and entertain you. Over 150 pages filled with rare photos, newspaper articles, interviews, and reproductions of rarely seen collectables.

    The Hall of Fame is also pleased to welcome former Red Bret Boone (1994-1998) for a presentation and book signing. After a major league career spanning 13 seasons, four Gold Gloves and three All-Star appearances, as well as trades and a bout with alcoholism, third-generation MLB player Bret Boone currently coaches minor leaguers. With a fifteen-year-old son who has potential to become baseball's first fourth-generation Major Leaguer, Bret has new perspective on his remarkable family and is ready to share his story as part of baseball's First Family. It is a one-of-a-kind look at the national pastime "from the colorful, quotable scion of a family whose business is baseball."

    Copies of "Home Game: Big-League Stories from My Life in Baseball's First Family" will be available for sale and are the only item that will be signed. The presentation is free with Hall of Fame admission.


  • "Queen City Dynasty: Cincinnati's Big Red Machine" by Mark Figley book signing

    Saturday, September 3 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m

    Author Mark Figley has been following the Reds since Sparky Anderson's inaugural season with the club in 1970. His new book, "Queen City Dynasty: Cincinnati's Big Red Machine," is dedicated to the 1975-1976 World Champion Cincinnati Reds. Unlike most books written on this subject, Figley tells the stories of not just the "Great Eight" starters, but every coach, pitcher, and role player who helped comprise these two squads. Read about the men who each played a vital role in the success of baseball's last true dynasty, and arguably the greatest team in the history of the game.

    Book signing is free with Hall of Fame admission. Copies of the book will be available for sale at the Reds Hall of Fame.

  • Free Kids Admission Days at the Reds Hall of Fame

    Fans 12 and under will be admitted free of charge to the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum on the following dates this summer, courtesy of Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center:

    The Hall of Fame & Museum features many interactive displays, including the Children's Hospital Kids Clubhouse. This locker room allows for young visitors to gear up and feel like true Hall of Famers. Healthy kid-friendly recipes are also available in the lobby of the Hall of Fame, provided by Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Visitors can experience the 2016 exhibits Bobbleheads, 4192 and Stars of the Queen City in addition to interactive exhibits and displays that highlight the storied traditions of baseball in Cincinnati.

    Located at Great American Ball Park, the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. year-round with extended hours on game days. For questions, please call 513-765-7923.


  • 1919: The Year that Changed Baseball Walking Tour

    Step back in time to the days of Garry Herrmann and the 1919 World Series on this exclusive walking tour.

    The Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum in conjunction with American Legacy Tours is pleased to offer 1919: The Year That Changed Baseball, a walking tour of downtown Cincinnati, that looks back on the infamous 1919 World Series scandal and the central role Reds owner August "Garry" Herrmann played in helping create the annual clash between league champions that, in 1919, was at the focal point of the scandal that rocked the game to its very core.

    The 1919 tour is conducted on Saturdays of Reds home games, excluding September 17 due to Oktobefest. See list of dates below. The tour starts promptly at 10:30 am and departs from the Cincinnati USA Visitor Center located at Fountain Square. Tickets for the approximately 90-minute-long tour are $20 per person. Guests are strongly encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early to check in for the tour.
