Cincinnati's Got Talent

OPEN AUDITIONS

  • Saturday, Nov. 19: 1-4 p.m.
  • Sunday, Nov. 20: 1-4 p.m.
  • Auditions will be held at the National
    Underground Railroad Freedom Center
  • (50 East Freedom Way, Cincinnati, OH 45202)
  • Enter at the Harriet Tubman Entrance off Rosa Parks Street (west side of building)

SEMIFINALS

  • Friday, Dec. 2: 9:15 p.m. - Redsfest
  • Ten (10) semifinalists will be selected from the auditions and will perform live on the Redsfest Main Stage for a panel of judges.

FINALS

  • Saturday, Dec. 3: 4 p.m. - Redsfest
  • Five (5) contestants will advance to the show finals for another set of live performances to determine the winner!
  • All five finalists will receive the opportunity to perform at a 2012 Reds home game (dates to be determined).

GUIDELINES FOR PARTICIPATION
  • Cincinnati's Got Talent is open to persons of all ages. Everyone will be required to present a photo ID in order to audition.
  • Minor contestants without a driver's license may use a school ID or acceptable substitute. If the minor is under the age of 18, then that minor's parent or guardian should present a photo ID and sign consent for the minor to compete.
  • There is no pre-registration for the auditions. We will give you an entry number and take your name and contact information upon arrival.
  • Both groups and individuals are welcome to participate.
  • Auditions will take place on a stage that is 29 feet by 25 feet.
  • Contestants who have obtained a musical recording contract are not permitted to compete.
  • Songwriters/musicians/rappers can sing/rap to a track of an original work or cover and/or play your own instruments.
  • If you are in a band and have multiple and/or non-acoustic instruments, please be advised that due to set-up restrictions and time, non-acoustic instruments are prohibited.
  • No fire, sharp objects, weapons or explosives (pyrotechnics) allowed.
  • Contestants must supply their own background tracks on a single CD. Background music must be free of background singers, only musical band instruments are acceptable.
  • Songs containing vulgar or explicit sexual lyrics will not be allowed. Contestants who during their performance, use any obscene, offensive, sexual or otherwise inappropriate behavior or gestures, including without limitation those referencing or depicting violence, nudity or explicit activity - or which are not in the spirit of the contestant will be disqualified from the competition.
  • The Cincinnati Reds reserve the right to disqualify and/or exclude, in our sole and absolute discretion, any individual from any of the auditions for any reason or for no reason at all, including without limitation, violation of any portion of these rules or tampering with the entry process or the audition process. We also reserve the right to change the rules and procedures at any time. Being chosen to audition and/or compete at any level in the process does not ensure that you will be selected to continue to the next stage. All final decisions made are final and at the discretion of the Cincinnati Reds and judges.
