Rosie Reds, Inc. is an organization formed in June 1963 when there was danger of the National League franchise being taken out of Cincinnati. It is limited to 3000 members (currently accepting new members) and has become a philanthropic as well as social organization.
The Philanthropic Fund is supported by our dues, Annual Raffle and other contributions. Through the courtesy of Provident Travel Corporation, two weekend trips for 2 with the Reds are raffled each year. Baseball Endowments or Scholarships are awarded annually to 7 area colleges: University of Cincinnati, Xavier University, Miami University, University of Dayton, Northern Kentucky University, Thomas More College, and the College of Mount Saint Joseph. Additionally, an award of $2,500 is given to the Powell Crosley Junior - Kid Glove Association. The Rosie Reds also support the Annual Kid Glove games held at Great American Ball Park.
Dues of $25 per year are payable in December. If there is a waiting list, application are sent to those persons on the waiting list in the order in which they are received.
Dues cover the cost of our Yearbook, printing, mailing, prizes, souvenirs and discounts on tickets for 2 Appreciation Nights at Great American Ball Park. Rosies are mailed notices of all events and receive order forms, which are filled on first-come, first-served bases. Each Rosie receives two complimentary tickets to a regular season game from the CINCINNATI REDS.
