Reds Community Fund Volunteers

RRSL Volunteers

The Reds Community Fund is the nonprofit leg of the Cincinnati Reds. Our mission is improving the lives of youth by leveraging the tradition of the Cincinnati Reds and the game of baseball. We essentially try to provide a better life for youth by using baseball as our tool while mixing in aspects of education and character building. We serve a total of 45,000 kids each year through programs such as free baseball camps and clinics, tutoring, funding for little league teams, ball diamond renovation and much more. Many of the children we serve come from lower income, inner city areas as well so we are able to provide them experiences that they would normally not be able to afford. Volunteers are an essential part of what we and we can use all the help we can get!

What Opportunities are Available?

Split the Pot Volunteering

Split the Pot

Split the Pot Volunteering: Our Split the Pot fundraiser is the top fundraiser for our department. It takes place at all 81 home games so there are a ton of opportunities to help out. Split the Pot volunteering involves canvasing Great American Ball Park to promote and sell 50/50 raffle tickets. You will sell tickets from the time the gates open until the beginning of the seventh inning. Upon completion of their shift, volunteers are given a meal voucher for a hot dog, chips, and drink, and are able to watch the remainder of the game. This is a wonderful experience for groups of friends or individuals.

Reds Rookie Success League

Our Reds Rookie Success League is a free baseball camp during June 20th-30th and July 18th-28th. Our volunteers will help with anything from being a character mentor to a baseball station instructor. You will get to work with groups of kids who fit the typical demographic we look for making this experience extremely impactful.

Urban Youth Academy Volunteering

The P&G Cincinnati MLB Urban Youth Academy is a $7.5 million baseball complex that we built in 2014. Throughout the season we hold a number of high school baseball tournaments and need help with staffing our concession stand. The academy is less than 15 minutes from Xavier University and just down the street from the Cincinnati Gardens so it is an easy drive for any students living in the Norwood area.
