High School Media Days

9th-12th Grade
WHAT IS A HIGH SCHOOL MEDIA DAY?

The Reds invite local high school students with an interest in sports journalism to Great American Ball Park for an exclusive, behind-the-scenes glimpse into the media's role in Major League Baseball.

WHY SHOULD I ATTEND?

From each participating high school, an adviser and two students will have the opportunity to view on-field pre-game batting practice, tour the press box and discuss careers in baseball media with Media Relations and Public Relations personnel. Participants are permitted to bring still or video cameras into the ballpark.

All participants will be provided with complimentary tickets for that evening's game and a Reds 2014 promotional kit.

After each High School Media Day, students are encouraged to write about their experience in the school newspaper. Please forward any published writing samples to the Cincinnati Reds.

WHEN IS THE EVENT?

High School Media Days will take place in April and May. Once your school requests to participate, the game date will be determined by the Cincinnati Reds.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Only high school students are eligible. School newspaper, magazine or other publication must be printed at least four times per school year. Dates are limited.
