
The third-annual Alvis Materials "Father's Day Catch," a fundraising event benefiting the Reds Community Fund, takes place on Sunday, June 15th. Other event partners include, FedEx Kinkos, The Enquirer, Mix 94.1 and 1530 Homer the Sports Animal.
Tickets can be purchased in an online only auction right here at reds.com. Two-ticket packages start at $250 and four-ticket packages start at $500.
This event offers the unique opportunity to play "catch" on the field at Great American Ball Park. Each package includes game tickets to the June 15th Reds vs. Red Sox home game, postgame field pass, authentic batting practice-used baseball and a commemorative certificate. Event partners include, FedEx Kinkos, The Enquirer, Mix 94.1 and 1530 Homer the Sports Animal.
Proceeds from the Alvis Materials Father's Day Catch benefit the baseball-themed outreach programs of the Reds Community Fund. Programs include the
Reds Rookie Success League, a free, noncompetitive, coed, character-building program for 8-11 year olds in Greater Cincinnati, Butler County, Warren County and Louisville;
Youth Baseball and Softball Funding, which underwrites expenses for 275 inner-city teams throughout Reds Country; and
Field Renovation, which will have helped restore 225 baseball fields before the end of the year. Including the
Youth Baseball "Match" and
Greater Cincinnati RBI programs, more than 25,000 kids and coaches will be connected to the baseball-themed outreach efforts of the Reds Community Fund in 2008.
